About
Connor Palomino is a case of oddity in country music. A fly on the wall that's either mistaken for somebody's kid or a bar hand.
around central texas, Connor has grown to love and care for the delicate authenticity of Texas country and folk music. Born in Anaheim, California and raised devoutly mormon, Connor straddled an upbringing of religious belief systems, and a desire to pursue passions in ALTERNATIVE music after moving to Texas halfway through middle school, which led him to playing throughout various bands or projects from high school to college. Releasing self produced EP's and singles under various stage names AND BANDS.
Connor bounced around bar jobs and stage gigs AROUND THE HILL COUNTRY until picking up a hitchhiking coworker that convinced him to change his degree and re-invest his passion back into music, eventually WRITING AND recordING IN 2025 his first studio album about southern mystique AND LIFE ON THE FRINGE OF SOCIETY. The characters in his songs parody those of a wiM Wenders film, and on family relations akin to a lost John Prine song. Places, Scenes, and stages is a slideshow of Texas and southwest flashes of charm, & a commentary on abandoned ranch mansions, trust fund les paul Cowboys, and highway overpass camp cults.
Connor resides in San Marcos, Texas, drawing inspiration from regional talents, such as Guy Clark, Buck Meek, Hayden Pedigo, Terry Allen, Shakey Graves, and Townes Van Zandt, having the opportunity to share the same fated stages whenever God allows it. Always finding himself where most often aren't, Connor can be found hollering in a pickers circle as the youngest person in a bar by 30 years, or three hours away songwriting scouting in a bygone town. The self proclaimed "Cosmic Folkstar" has built a deep fried mythology behind his spastic ghostly prescience in Texas's scene, and self producing his albums & releasing them under his own label everknowing sounds, he'Ll sell his soul for a bumper sticker.
